I’m looking forward to participating in this year’s Art in the Barn—Essex County Greenbelt’s
annual celebration of regional art and land conservation—taking place this June 12–13 at Cox
Reservation in Essex. I hope you’ll stop by and join the festivities!
Now in its third decade, this beloved North Shore tradition features a juried selection of work
by more than 130 regional artists. Thousands of pieces—from paintings and photography to
sculpture, stained glass, ceramics, and more—are showcased against the stunning backdrop of
a New England salt marsh.

Art in the Barn not only celebrates artistic talent but also supports Greenbelt’s vital mission to
protect natural landscapes and working farms across Essex County. Participating artists
generously contribute 50% or more of their proceeds to this important conservation work.
